This coming labour weekend,  join us in our forest of sensory bliss while some of the most mood morphing producers and djs roll out an evening of technical progressive trance.

Joining us from Melbourne is Zenons own

TETRAMETH     Zenon (Melb/Aus)

-Tetrameth’s sound has been described as an extremly original concoction. Cleverly constructed progressive psy-trance with an unmistakably organic undertone. Add a technical edge, truly making the end result a beast of its own. Peter graduated with a diploma in contemporary music majoring in guitar at the “Conservatorium of Music” on the North Coast of NSW. Playing in bands for several years, Peter is producing psy trance at a world-class level, truly pushing and surpassing boundaries previously set within the genre. A genre or style he likes to call “Technical Progressive”.

N∅RT      Estuary Records (Melb/Aus)

After many years writing downbeat and ambient under the alias “Invader Tron,” Andrew Snook melts the dance floor with his new LiveTek Project Nørt. Churning out minimal and progressive style techno, with influences from his ambient glitch days seeping in, the result is both atmospheric and pumping, where ethereal melody lines and drifting synths are boiled down, vaporized, and pumped out the vents, of his mechanical tek driven, steam machine.

SPOONHEAD (estuary records)

Ray Singer , more commonly known as ‘Spoonhead’ is a producer and live act of the ‘electronic music’ family. Best described as a cross-breed of reptile and mammal, crossing genres from Progressive into Breaks, Psy, Glitch and Techno. Spoonhead is known for his noisy, unusual call, different for each event, that combines bellbird-like notes with clicks, cackles, timber-like creaks and groans, layered over heavy pulsating bass sounds and tight kick drums—the unusual possession of 2 voiceboxes enables Spoonhead to perform such a myriad of vocalisations[citation needed]. What ever the situation Spoonhead likes to create a smooth flow between acts and can tailor his sound to fill the gap between two very different artists.

Some of the huge range of Spoonhead’s sounds are beyond the human register. Watching a Spoonhead set, one can observe gaps in the sound when his maw is agape and throat tufts throbbing. Spoonhead is an adaptable creature, playing at all hours of the day or night. However being part reptilian means Spoonhead likes to laze about untill the temperature heats up before playing on big PA systems in the mid morning sun.
